Freedom Week 2012

March 5-9 is Freedom Week at the University of Montevallo.  The college ministry from our church, The Church at Shelby Crossings, will be hosting a fundraiser to provide funds for the programs run by the following organizations battling human trafficking:

She Dances

Make Way Partners

International Justice Mission

Well House


If you are local, here are the lists of events:

ALL WEEK (specifically for Montevallo students)
Prison Project - Your profs and peeps are in captivity, give money to bail them out!

Giving in the Cafe - Give to fight human trafficking around the world each day in the cafe. Give $2, get a wristband! Give $25, get a t-shirt!

Sign Your Name & Stand For Freedom - Join 27,000 others who have signed a petition to President Obama to commit to help end slavery in our lifetimes!

If you can't sign your name in person, stand for freedom and sign your name here.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Freedom Night - March 6 @ 9pm at Comer Auditorium. Join us for our big event featuring music, spoken word, & Representative Merika Coleman will be speaking to us with Tajuana Lewis from The Well House & Jeremy Springer from She Dances.

Documentary Night - March 7 @ Eclipse Coffee
Come eat around 6pm and enjoy the show at 7pm. A portion of proceeds from Eclipse help fight human trafficking!

That's ok! If you are not local or are unable to attend these events, but would still like to be a part of Freedom week, YOU CAN!
